Dr. Somers graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire before completing her Doctorate of Optometry degree at Illinois College of Optometry. Her extensive clinical training includes experience at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center, Froedtert, and the Medical College of Wisconsin, as well as Jorgenson Schulz and Associates Eyecare Center. 

Dr. Somers provides comprehensive eye care, performing exams for glasses and contact lenses, evaluating and managing eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, and more. She has served as a board member for the Southern Arizona Optometric Society since 2023. 

Dr. Somers is originally from Wisconsin and moved to Tucson in 2022. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
