Dr. Patel completed her undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Virginia Commonwealth University. She went on to pursue her doctorate in New York City at the State University of New York College of Optometry. She furthered her career by completing a residency in ocular disease and low vision at the Southern Arizona Veterans Hospital in Tucson, AZ.

Dr. Patel performs comprehensive eye exams including refractions for glasses and contact lenses. She also performs yearly diabetic eye exams and follows patients with glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, floaters, dry eyes and more. In addition, she fits specialty contact lenses for patients with corneal conditions such as keratoconus, radial keratotomy (RK), corneal transplants, and corneal scarring.

In her free time Dr. Patel loves spending time outdoors with her husband. She also loves to travel, cook, and just relax with a good book.
